I am right here

At night the humans lock my escape tunnel. They usually check to see where I am before they lock the door. Sometimes, I am outside at one of my mouse hunting stations. Sometimes I ignore the humans when they call me. Depends on my mood and whether I have seen a mouse. Last night the female human took a flashlight and went out in the rain, looking in the bushes where I usually lurk. I could hear her calling but I was very warm and comfy in a new sleeping place. She went through the back yard and through the front yard. When she came back in the house I got up from my new sleeping place and stood in the hall. She didn't think to look in the chair by the fireplace! It is amusing to watch humans run around searching for me when I am already in the house.
