I am glad to be home. We do not have to go to McDonald's to get a connection. I will post some photos.

Oct. 7, 2013

I did not want to leave the land of sun, rocks and pine needles, but the humans put me in the stinky truck and drove off. I was quite surprised when, 4 hours later, we arrived where we had started. I still don't know how...or why..they made this trip. I think they are messing with my head. Later I will look for any photos that I should post. Now, I will go to sleep for many hours.

Oct. 3, 2013

We are in Bend. Yay! My cousin Jackson, the dog, is barking, so I don't want to go out. Maybe tomorrow. The big stinky truck is creating a blue smoke shield whenever we idle at intersections. I think people look at us in annoyance.

Male human on motorcycle

Oct. 2, 2013

It was very cold at night. The water hose was frozen. The heater went on many times. I stepped outside and the ground was so cold I came right back in. I will stay in the trailer with the humans who have all their warm clothes on. In the afternoon the male rides on his motorcycle. The female reads a book. At this time the male has not come back.

Oct. 1, 2013

Today we drive along the I-84 freeway through Boise, Vale and Unity. We go to the forest campgrounds where the humans check out the sites to see if the trailer willl fit. First one...not so great, second one may work, but then they notice a sign posted that says the campground is closed due to the government shutdown. Rats! It smelled of lovely pine needles and I really wanted to get out. The humans turn around and go to Unity Lake State Park. The male human will plan a route for a motorcycle ride. The female frets that there is no one to ride with him and they don't have cell service. There is a wild wind storm with rain. It is supposed to be 26 degrees tonight. I am glad I have fur.

Sept. 30, 2013

Campsite at Curlew Grasslands
From the grasslands we drive to Twin Falls, Idaho. The humans buy groceries. They are excited to see that the grocery store sells wine, unlike Utah. The wind blows the trailer around on the freeway. I can feel that the humans are anxious. I sing a few verses of YEOW to help them. They find refuge at a State Park outside Glenn's Ferry, Idaho. The wind still howls. I go outside but come back in because the wind is noisy. The humans look at maps and plan the next day trip. I will post some of the sand dune pictures when I get an internet connection.
Sand dunes at Little Sahara

Sept. 29, 2013

We drive over a very bumpy road for a long way. Of course, this makes me sick. I throw up. What else would they expect! Then I run back and forth between the front seat and the back chanting the 27 verses of YEOW to calm myself. A very long day on the road. The wind blew very hard. Evening finds us at Curlew National Grasslands park. There are no other trailers except the camp host. No noise. Thank the Great Fur Ball in the Sky! I will sleep well.

Sept. 28, 2013

We travel to a big sand dune park (Little Sahara). I am excited to roll in the sand but when we get there off-road vehicles are everywhere and it is very noisy. There are even dogs off-leash. Off-road, off-leash, I am off-ended. At least there is sunshine and it is not too cold. I don't even have pictures to post because the female is afraid she will get run over by the vehicles if she walks outside.

Thursday, September 26, 2013

Note: The neighbors 2 feet away have a DOG that barks and they are playing country music. The female is making plans to escape.
Sept. 26, 2013

Oh, joy! We are in an RV park with electricity, water, sewer, wi-fi, TV, and an aviary of all things! Who cares if the RV next to us is only 2 feet away. Both humans seem happy with the arrangement. They did not appreciate my recitation of the 27 verses of YEOW on the way here.

razor ride at slick rock

Sept. 22, 2013

The humans went for a ride in the desert in a little jeep sort of thing that they called a razor. I thought razors were sharp things to shave with. One of the males drove the 3 females around for hours. They came back very dirty, hot and sweaty. They talked about speeding around like they were being chased, but apparently they had "fun." Must be a bit of different "fun" from the shopping and cupcakes.

We are now at Ken's Lake outside Moab where there is a great big thunderstorm with lightening and rain. The humans will hide out until it passes. I will sleep.

Sept.21, 2013

We are in an RV park...thankfully. At least we have stopped moving for a while. The humans are happy with electricity and water.

The group of male humans left on their motorcycles. The female group went into Moab in the stinky truck to shop. The females came back with cupcakes and jewelry. The males came back sweaty, dirty and sore. Both groups claim "fun". I would side with cupcakes.

In the afternoon both males and females go to Arches National Park. I have some of their pictures.

Sept. 19, 2013

We are in Moab, Utah. There are fabulous rocks. It is very hot here. When we stayed at Ridgefield I got pitch on my tail. The humans have whacked off some fur. I didn't know pitch was bad. It smelled good!

There are lots of these red rocks around. The humans will go look at them more closely on Saturday. People ride their bikes and drive jeeps on these red rocks.

Sept. 17, 2013

We are headed to Ridgeway Colorado. The male is working on the propane tank. We have stopped at 3 propane places today. How utterly exciting. I will make my displeasure known.

Dinosaurs and rocks around Grand Junction

Sunday, September 15, 2013

Sept. 14, 2013

Too much time in the car. I am going nuts! I will growl and pace and attempt to leap out the window. We stopped at the Dinosaur National Monument in Utah. I made a break for my freedom across the lap of the male human and toward the park ranger. Darn. Didn't make it. Park ranger was quite surprised however. The humans liked the dinosaur exhibits. Then we drove for many miles across very steep mountain passes with little skinny roads. The humans talked of white knuckles. Their knuckles didn't look white but they did look afraid as they went up and down the steep roads. I paced and growled. I have been in the car too long. We are now in the Colorado National Monument outside Grand Junction. It is very pretty, but again the mountain roads are skinny for the big black truck and trailer. The humans have a lot of wine with dinner.

Sept. 12, 2013

We drive through the Tetons, but it is cloudy so they look like their tops are cut off. Rats. There is no room to stay in the Tetons. Road construction everywhere. The humans go to Jackson. They are parked in a huge campground with about 300 other campers. The male human saw a moose close to the campground. He cautioned the female…."they are big and dumb do not go near them." Good advice for many things.

Sept. 11, 2013

The humans feel a bit stupid. Now they think the wolves they saw might have been coyotes. Hmmm. damn big coyotes says the female. They also talked about a herd of bison and a herd of elk that they saw. They were amazed at the scenery around Norris Geyser and Mammoth Hot Springs. They have pictures. I don't know where the pictures are, but they will share them.
Sept. 9, 2013
The humans left early. They went to Old Faithful and many geysers. They were just giddy about seeing 2 wolves. They have seen bison, elk, antelope and deer, but the wolves seem to be the most exciting.I am not sure what a wolf is. I don't think I should meet one. Dogs are bad enough and I hear they are related. The campground was quiet with the humans gone. I finally got some sleep.

Sept. 8, 2013
We are in Yellowstone. Oh, how pretty! Nice little streams, big granite cliffs. We find our campsite. I am happy and ready to roll in the pine needles, but a big truck comes down the road and I have to run for it into the trailer. The humans go to look at geysers and things like bison, sheep and bears. The humans come back after getting rained on by a big thunderstorm. They have some photos to post, but that requires going to McDonald's. They are not ready to do that yet. It is raining, but tomorrow and all the days after it are supposed to be nice. I will watch the campground from the dining room table. Very few dogs around. A good sign.

Sept. 7, 2013

Great scenery in Idaho. Followed the river to Lolo Pass. Very curvy. I had a hard time sleeping. Warm. We went over the continental divide. Ah, camping outside Butte, Montana. The humans are tired. The campground has room for us. Hurray! Damn, dogs in the campground. I will stay on the dining room table and keep track of them.

Sept. 6, 2013

Camped tonight by a river. Drove for many miles along Hwy 12 by a river. Very scenic according to the humans. Uncomfortable for me. I just couldn't get situated. The lap, the console, the bed in the back. Then I was hauled from the truck to the trailer several times. Hot. Sort of muggy. When will it be cool? Beautiful Idaho river. Strange campgrounds. First campground ...100+ motorcyles, we continued. Next campground had a truck in the ditch as we approached. My human male thought the man had no clothes as he climbed out. Found out later he did have shorts on and he went in the ditch because he was swating at a bee. Humans...........................

wild weather

Sept. 5, 2013
Seems like we always get into a wild thunderstorm. This one has lightening and rain too. Wind is rocking the trailer back and forth. The female is having a bit of a fun trying to cook dinner. I mean, I think she is having fun. She's saying "whoa!" and "Good Lord" and stuff.
Sept 5, 2013
Wait....Why is my litter box in the kitchen? The humans are packing the trailer. I fear this means they will soon put me in the bag and back into the truck.   Yes......that is what they have done. They smile and say "Yellowstone". Not sure what that means. Probably different from yellow stain.

August 30, 2013

Something is going on. The humans have been studying maps. What concerns me is that they bought a new harness and tried to put it on me. Something about "girth" had them stymied. They fiddled with the thing and I think they will try again to put it on me. This must mean we are going to go somewhere.

Thursday, June 20, 2013

I am home. It is green and wet. Everything is where it is supposed to be. Was it all just a bad dream?
I will sleep for several months until the humans decide to again stuff me in the bag and take me somewhere.

Friday, May 3, 2013

Oh this is hard since my human Mom left. Now I am stuck with the male human. I have to harass him until he gives me some good stuff to eat, get the grooming I need and even to get him to empty the Lo.
I get no respect around here either.   The resisdent dogs just come over and plop themselves down in my territory and don't even ask. Just look at this photo. And it is hot. Oh, for my own back yard again.

Sunday, April 28, 2013

Don't have a picture of me...so I will put in a picture of the male human and his kite.

April 26,2013

The humans return to Rio Vista being too scared of earthquakes to stay longer. The male goes to the beach to kiteboard. The female makes airline reservations to return to Vancouver. I guess I am being left with the male. I don't know whether to be scared or excited. The blog will cease because I don't think the male can write like me. Maybe I will send emails to the female when she gets home.

April 23, 2013.

The humans and I went south from Rio Vista, CA to Hollister Hills Recreation Area. They were very surprised and nervous to discover that they were camped 50 feet from the San Andreas fault. The fault was described in detail on the map of the camp. On one side of the fault grew due oak and grass land. On the other side were different trees and grass and soil. The cows didn't seem to care. Looked the same to me. Many motorcycle and orv riders. Noisy. Dogs. Coyotes and racoons at night + dreams of earthquakes. The humans went to Monterey and looked at Cannery Row and the historic downtown buildings. They are still nervous.

April 18, 2013

We are at Sherman Island. Possibly the most windy place we've been yet. The male human chose it because he likes to kiteboard. There are others of his kind here.

There are two dogs that are loose all the time. They appear friendly but I am suspicious. They lay right outside the front door. They do not heed my warnings. I believe they want me to let my guard down and then attack me if I go outside. Or, maybe they think they are being cute and my humans will give them food.

The dogs do not concern me as much as the cats. They are everywhere. Someone says they are feral but have been fixed. They hang out in the bushes. I can see them creeping around under the trailers. I do not trust them any more than the dogs.

The humans go on day trips to Sonoma, Napa, Sausalito and Rio Vista. People come and go in the campground. There are boats with fishermen, cars with fishermen, kiteboarders and sailboarders. They each have their areas of the camp. Sometimes the fishermen get mixed up with the kiteboarders and then there disagreements.

The humans force me to go outside in my harness so they can take pictures. They humans must be bored.

April 8, 2013

We stayed the night in the desert last night. Just off the highway with some other RVs. The wind is howling. The humans don't want to drive.

We move to a park with water and electricity. There is a boat dock and a restaurant and a bar. The humans are happy.

I have rolled in the dust. Not as good as pine needles.

The grackle birds are here too.

We will leave again tomorrow when the wind has died down. A long drive across a desert to stay in a lovely place called Jackass Flats. No water or electricity. The female is not too happy.

April 5, 2013

We left the Grand Canyon. Too bad. I liked the pine needles and dust there. Before we left I made a dash for freedom for one last roll in the dust. The female was quite upset. She might have thought I would run up a tree. She did let me roll, even though I got outside without the pink halter.

Now we are by a river. It is noisy with jet skis and boats and dogs.

There are some strange birds here. The bird book shows they are common grackle. They make very different noises. Then there are water birds that are as big as I am with green heads and orange feet. They paddle around the tree by our trailer. I don't think I will go outside when they are here.

It is hot so I will sleep.
